Bluetec vs alternative fuels
 

Amidst the energy crisis that is seeing fuel prices soar to new levels on a daily basis,
automobile manufacturers are trying to develop engines which are capable of running
on alternative fuels as well as lowering fuel consumption.

German luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz is one company that has been seriously
developing new technologies in order to minimize fuel consumption.

 

Mercedes-Benz has been present in Thailand for more than half a century, with various models being assembled locally thanks to high demand.

Thailand sales for Mercedes-Benz have been the highest in the Asean region for many decades. Last year it sold 4,000 cars here, compared to 3,500 in Singapore, 3,000
in Malaysia, 2,000 in Indonesia and several hundred in Vietnam.

With growth in the Asean region maintaining its momentum, it is not surprising that Mercedes-Benz
is giving much importance to this part of the world.
