Automechanika Shanghai 2009 : Three major Chinese industry associations pledge their support to the show
 

Automechanika Shanghai, Asia-s largest trade fair for the automotive parts, components and aftermarket industry will take place 9-11 December 2009 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, China.

 

Despite the global recession, the show has already set a new record with over 2,200 exhibitors from 23 countries and regions that include Belgium, Brazil, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, UK and USA. As a result, the exhibition space has expanded to nine halls, with a total of more than 100,000 sqm.

 

Mr Jason Cao, General Manager, Messe Frankfurt Shanghai Co Ltd points out: Our show is going from strength to strength and has set a new record for exhibitors and exhibition space. We have many new supporters including the Hong Kong Auto Parts Industry Association who have arranged for several Hong Kong exhibitors to display their standard parts, chassis parts and regenerates parts.

 

As Asias largest sourcing platform for automotive parts, equipment and services, the show has attracted pavilions from Germany, France, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and USA, with Spain showing for the first time.

 

Organised by Sernauto, the Spanish Automotive Equipment and Components Manufacturers Association, the Spanish pavilion will present a number of leading automotive companies. Mr David Antolin Velasco, Sernautos International Promotion Director declares: As China has become the worlds largest automotive market, Chinese consumers are looking for all kinds of products and solutions. They are especially interested in quality products. Our exhibiting companies will definitely meet their requirements because our products attain the highest European standards. We will show products ranging from suspension parts, brake systems, water pumps to metal parts.

 

The Singapore pavilion is organised by the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises which wants to gain more market awareness for their companies in the automotive market. Mr Daniel Chen, the organisations Executive for International Relations remarks: We believe Automechanika is an established industry exhibition that will create great mileage for our participating companies.

 

Three major Chinese industry associations pledge their support to the show

 

Automechanika Shanghai will also feature Chinese pavilions organised by several local industry associations.

 

The Shanghai Auto Maintenance Equip Association will have 55 member companies of automotive maintenance and equipment manufacturers displaying their latest products. Ms Chen Yi, Deputy Secretary General summarises: Automechanika Shanghai is one of the industrys most highly recognised trade fairs and it is the best place to expand our sales and marketing network.

 

The Zhejiang Association of Automobile Manufacturers have organised 120 exhibitors for their 2,000 plus sqm exhibition space. Zhejiang province is Chinas major auto production hub with more than 7,000 automotive parts manufacturers. Mr Fang Xi, the associations President states: The number of companies, production value and employment in the automotive industry sector in Zhejiang province has surpassed Shanghai, Jiangsu and Guangdong.

 

The Committee for Vehicle Use Motor and Electrical Appliances of CAAM have organised 170 companies from the auto motor and electrical appliances industries for its 3,100 sqm pavilion. The rapid growth of Chinas automotive industry has become a focal point for the world, remarks Ms Zhu Xiao Ping, the committees Secretary General. Therefore, Automechanika Shanghai is a not-to-be missed trade fair for global automotive players and Chinese companies have become more mature and serious about choosing an efficient exhibition.

 

Special zones to promote buyer focus and industry networking

 

Automechanika Shanghai will also set up special showcase zones for electric and electronic products, engine components, hardware and tools, spraying equipment and materials, car care products, accessories and service outsourcing. These special zones will help buyers to focus on specific products and services and build up their marketing sector networks.

 

Among the companies exhibiting in the service outsourcing zone are Anji-TNT Automotive Logistics Co Ltd, Comau (Shanghai) Automotive Equipment Co Ltd, Guehring (Changzhou) Cutting Tools Co Ltd, Quaker Chemical (China) Co Ltd, Siemens Limited China, TCM China Tool Consulting and Management Ltd and Voith Industrial Services (Shanghai) Co Ltd.

 

Comau China, established in 2002, specialises in engineering design, body welding and assembly, powertrain and robotics. Mr Wang Xiangjun, Business Line Manager points out: At the showcase zone we will demonstrate our overall equipment management, infrastructure construction building management, equipment repair and maintenance engineering, spare parts management and equipment installation and relocation capabilities.

 

Voith Industrial Services is one of the leading industrial suppliers offering engineering and automation service, installation and aftersales service, equipment maintenance, technical cleaning and facility management service. A range of these product groups will be demonstrated at the show. Dr Stefan Sack, Managing Director underlines there was a huge market potential in China because economic globalisation is speeding up multinational investment and development in Chinas manufacturing industry.

 

Automechanika Matchmaking Forum for VIP buyers helps generate business opportunities

The Automechanika Matchmaking Forum which will run from 9 10 December 2009 offers an exclusive opportunity for exhibitors to meet one-on-one with domestic and international VIP buyers to explore potential business opportunities. Heads of sourcing and procurement department from nearly 20 companies from China, Iran, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Russia, South Africa, UAE have confirmed their attendance. Automotive original equipment manufacturers, aftermarket products manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors and retailers such as Fiat (China) Business Co Ltd, Federal Mogul China, Gates Unitta Power Transmission Limited, GDC Enterprises T/A GDC Equipment, Partquip (Pty) Ltd, Valeo Asia Purchasing Office and Yellow Hat Ltd will be present at the forum.


Automechanika Shanghai is one of 13 global Automechanika fairs held in Asia, Europe, North America, South America and Africa.
