The Otobursa Tumplek-Blek has played a significant role in fueling the development of domestic automobile industry and contributed greatly in building a competitive global reputation.

Since its commencement in 2000, The Otobursa Tumplek-Blek has grown tremendously for the past decade and its achievements were only made possible through passionate interest and support.

Now, for a new decade ahead, The 2012 Otobursa Tumplek-Blek Goes International is preparing an ambitious voyage full of new challenges with the aim to bring together major foreign and domestic automakers and autoparts suppliers to Otobursa Tumplek-Blek to earn the reputation of being a true regional-scale auto-parts sourcing avenue. The organisers aims to become the biggest automotive trading event in South East Asia.

The Otobursa Tumplek-Blek is an avenue that is initially held to accommo¬date the Indonesians people need of cheap automotive spare parts and accessories with good quality. This year’s event with a theme “Past, Present & Future” which rep¬resents the ambience concept of each area/zone that is divided by Indonesia’s automo¬tive history.

The theme is displayed in each zone of Otobursa Tumplek-Blek, which is divided accordingly. Committee chairman, Abi Irawan stated, “The Past Area will cover all activities from our history, with many display zones and “lapak” that we believe will be the hunting zone for automotive collectors seeking vintage spare parts and ac-cessories. Meanwhile, the Present area offers many stands that sell current vehicle spare parts or accessories. And in the Future zone, there will be many products that reflect the future of the automotive industry.”

Also non-stop entertainment were pro¬vided by the organisers such as “Big Foot” or “Gajah Monster” attraction, freestyle bike exhibition, test drive parade, scooter contest, live music of various genre, art performance as well as food bazaar.

The 2012 Otobursa Tumplek-Blek Goes International provided 184 floor stalls or “lapak” as well as 168 stalls from various automotive products and accessories towards satisfying the needs of automotive parts lovers and the community.

Most visitors made it to the “lapak” zone to look or sourced for used spare parts and accessories that are rarely seen in the market. This used items zone has always been the most visited area in every Otobursa Tumplek-Blek event in the past. It is a haven for 60’s scooter users or muscle cars – as they may find rare spare parts for their collection in an affordable price.
